This New Year’s Eve, Hop Yard turns back the clock to The Glamorous Eighties - we’re dialling up the glam and rewinding to the outrageous, eclectic looks, big beats, and even bigger hair. Expect an explosion of colour, style, and sound as we channel the decade that defined excess. From Bowie to Madonna, neon lights to shoulder pads, it’s your excuse to dress loud and dance harder.
With a live band and DJs taking it through to the early hours - free prosecco on arrival, drinks deals and fancy dress - welcome in 2026 with pure glamour. Over the top? Absolutely.
Allergies: Live
Since forming in 2012 The Allergies have made it their mission to reshape funky vintage sounds for the modern dancefloor.
Both skilled turntablists in their own right, and known for their 45 only vinyl sets, the duo of DJ Moneyshot & Rackabeat first bonded over their love of classic hip-hop and beats, then decided to pool their knowledge and skills into making their own music.
“We like breaks, funky basslines, horns, and dancefloor grooves. We’re inspired by the golden eras of funk, soul, disco and hip-hop, and we try and cram that into three and a half minutes”.

Emanative Percussion Ensemble: Live Band
Emanative (Nick Woodmansey) is a drummer, producer, DJ and bandleader. A prolific collaborator with everyone from from Four Tet to Dele Sosimi and Peter Zummo.
Full of trance-like percussion, meditative grooves and boundary pushing improvisation. We’re delighted to have him bring a unique three piece line up to the Hop Yard stage accompanied by percussionist Magnus Mehta and saxophonist, flautist and bass clarinet don Ben Hadwen. It’ll be an evening of raw, spontaneous creativity.

Experience the authentic and intimate atmosphere of a "mehfil" with Dr Pete Yelding on sitar, accompanied by virtuoso tabla player, Junaid Ali. PLUS delicious Sri Lankan food on sale from East Grinstead Sri Lankan restaurant, Va-Nak-Kam.
Committed to offering quality music from South Asia, The Mehfil Space @mehfilspace is collaborating with zer0classikal to bring you two performers who will delight and inspire you. Peter will play long form classical raag music on the sitar, accompanied by Junaid Ali, a much sought after tabla performer, during this night of 'Mehfil - e - Hop Yard' . The concept of "Mehfil" is defined as "a gathering where music or poetry is performed for a small audience in an intimate setting."
